Convocation is a bold new expression from Barbados' Foursquare Rum Distillery, crafted as part of the acclaimed Exceptional Cask Selection series. This one-of-a-kind blend unites two distinct single blended molasses rums—each aged 14 years, one entirely in ex-bourbon barrels, the other in ex-Madeira casks.
Distilled using both the traditional double retort pot still and twin-column Coffey still, this rum is a true reflection of Foursquare’s craftsmanship. Aged, blended, and bottled entirely on-site at the distillery, Convocation is bottled at a robust 62% ABV (124 proof), with zero additives, coloring, or chill-filtration.
Released only when deemed truly exceptional by Master Distiller Richard Seale, Convocation is limited, rare, and unlike any before it.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Vanilla, toasted coconut, and fresh berries evolve into pipe tobacco, bergamot, and subtle oxidative nuttiness
- Palate: Rich and chewy with notes of caramelized grapefruit peel, roasted macadamia nuts, blackberry cobbler, pineapple, and salted caramel
- Finish: Long, elegant, and full-bodied, with a deep toffee sweetness
