Aged for 3 to 5 years, Grand Mayan Extra Aged Limited Release Tequila is crafted using hand-selected Central-Highland Blue Weber Agave.
Slow-cooked in traditional Brick and Stone ovens, extended fermentation, then twice distilled in Copper Pot Stills, this exceptional Tequila is then rested in both American oak casks and French ex-cognac barrels.
Long-time industry veteran Carlos Monsalve, founder and owner of Grand Mayan Tequila, has more than 20 years working in nearly every facet of the tequila business.
Prior to founding Grand Mayan, Carlos spent years working as a consultant to launch major international tequila brands and teaching courses to individuals looking to better understand the business of tequila brand creation, manufacturing and exportation.
Nose: Notes of honey, nuts, and subtle hints of floral and spice.
Palate: Sweet, with flavours of caramelised honey, walnuts, and a hint of spice, like cinnamon. Oak ageing is prominent, contributing to a woodsy and slightly sweet taste.
Finish: Balanced finish with notes of white pepper, vanilla, and chocolate.
